Academic Requirements (Fujian Medical University)
Non-Chinese citizen with a valid foreign passport. A Pakistani passport with at least 18 months of validity at the time of application. No criminal record certificate from the Pakistan local police station, attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pakistan and the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad.
18 to 30 years old at the time of registration in September 2026. Applicants under 18 must provide an original power of attorney authenticated by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in Pakistan, per the official FJMU brochure.
High school graduate or equivalent (FSc Pre-Medical for Pakistani students, A-Levels accepted). FJMU’s 2026 brochure specifies: excellent performance in senior high school graduation examinations, with mathematics score no less than 70 out of 100 and either physics or chemistry score no less than 70 out of 100. Pakistani FSc Pre-Medical students should target above 70% overall, with strong marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
For Pakistani students whose previous education was not entirely in English, IELTS Academic with overall band 6.0 and no individual band below 5.0, or TOEFL iBT 70 overall with no section below 15. FJMU does not publish a fixed FSc minimum percentage
The official FJMU 2026 brochure specifies excellent performance in senior high school graduation examinations, with mathematics score no less than 70 out of 100 and either physics or chemistry no less than 70 out of 100. FJMU does not publish a single Pakistani FSc percentage threshold. MTZ recommends Pakistani applicants target above 70% overall FSc Pre-Medical with strong Physics, Chemistry, Biology marks. A Pakistani student below 65% may receive review-stage rejection.
Colour blindness is a strict disqualification
Section IV of the FJMU 2026 brochure explicitly bans colour blindness and colour weakness. Pakistani applicants with any degree of colour deficiency identified on the Foreigner Physical Examination Form will not be admitted. Test before applying.

Living costs are billed as actual consumption
Several line items in the FJMU brochure (insurance, residence permit, utilities, internet, textbooks, meals) are listed as borne by the student based on actual consumption. Plan a CNY 1,300 to CNY 2,150 monthly living budget per the Block 7 Section 5 estimate, with a buffer for first-year settling-in expenses.
Refund policy on tuition deposit and application fee
The FJMU 2026 brochure states the application fee CNY 800 is non-refundable under any circumstances. If a student fails to register within the specified registration period or declines the admission offer due to personal reasons, the application fee and the 20% tuition deposit are not refunded. Pakistani families must confirm visa likelihood before paying the deposit.

Fujian Medical University is approved by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) to admit scholarship recipients. The full CSC scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance, and a monthly living stipend. Pakistani applicants apply through the China Scholarship Council via the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Islamabad, then nominate FJMU as the preferred host university. CSC scholarships are highly competitive and selection is by the China Scholarship Management Committee, not FJMU.
